Veterans Update for Eastern North Carolina

Issues: Veterans

It is a tremendous privilege to represent over 85,000 veterans living in Eastern North Carolina.  These brave men and women and their families have made incredible sacrifices and deserve everything the U.S. government promised them as a result of their service.

I have been a tireless advocate for veterans, their families, and all armed services active and reserve personnel. In fact, in the last 16 months, I have cosponsored 102 bills supporting our veterans, more than any other member of Congress. I will continue to do all I can to stand up for America's veterans, because they have stood up for us.

Below is a sample of the legislative action I have taken on behalf of veterans since the beginning of last year.

Bills I Have Voted For:

Bills I Have Introduced:

In addition to the bills above, below is a list of all 102 veterans-related bills I have cosponsored during the current 115th Congress (i.e. from 2017 – 2018).  My staff and I will continue to evaluate new bills as they are introduced.  If you have an idea for legislation that could help veterans, I encourage you to contact my Capitol Hill office at (202) 225-3415.  We are always looking for ways to improve federal laws and policies related to veterans.

I also have an outstanding staff that works diligently to successfully resolve hundreds of veterans’ cases each year.  If you have an issue with the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal agency that you believe we could assist with, please contact my Greenville district office at (252) 931-1003.  I take great pride in helping Eastern North Carolinians address issues they are having with federal agencies.

Thank you for the opportunity to update you on my efforts to help those who have given so much for our great nation.  I am honored to represent and serve you, and I take this commitment very seriously.  May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless America.
