Sep 27, 2018 Issues: FEMA and Natural Disasters

WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-03) continued his efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Florence, and voted for passage of H.R. 302, a bill which includes a first round of funding for those recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Florence. The House passed H.R. 302 by a vote of 398 to 23.  The bill now returns to the Senate for further consideration.

“Hurricane Florence brought flooding and devastation, the likes of which many of us have never seen,” said Congressman Jones. “The resources provided by this bill will help Eastern North Carolina get back on its feet. Thank you to all of my colleagues for supporting my great state as we begin the process of recovery.”
