JONES COMMEMORATES 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF ENTRY INTO WWI

Apr 12, 2017 Issues: Veterans, Armed Services

WASHINGTON, DC – Last Thursday on the 100th anniversary of United States entry in to World War I, Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) announced his introduction of H. Con. Res. 41, legislation that commemorates United States involvement in World War I and honors the brave veterans who dutifully served in that conflict.

“During World War I, our United States Armed Forces defended the principles of democracy and freedom,” said Congressman Jones. “While those courageous men and women are no longer with us, we must never forget how they so fearlessly protected this country. Over the next year, events will be held throughout the United States in remembrance of World War I veterans and families - I invite citizens from all over to join in the centennial commemoration.”
